Your septic tank should be pumped every 3-5 years to optimize functionality and increase the longevity of your system. When a tank is not pumped and serviced for years on end, the filter can clog which results in the accumulation of sludge. This can result in a failing septic system.
Septic failures can range from blockages in the drain lines which can cause standing sewage on your property to a back-up of sewage right into your home...into toilets, bathtubs and even your washing machine. The more serious the failure, the more costly the septic system repair. Routine maintenance of your septic system is the most cost-effective way to prevent the majority of failures.
